Junior Kindergarten Program
Welcome to the Junior Kindergarten Program at Bumble Bee Academy —
a thoughtfully designed learning journey for children aged 4 and up. Inspired by Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework, our program blends structured academics with play-based exploration to prepare young minds for Kindergarten and beyond.
A Strong Start for Lifelong Learning
Our Junior Kindergarten program integrates Emergent Curriculum, Montessori principles, STEAM activities, and phonics-based literacy to support each child’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence. There is no nap time, and the day is designed to be active, engaging, and developmentally enriching.
Guided by Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework
At Bumble Bee Academy, our Junior Kindergarten Program is guided by Flight: Alberta"s Early Learning and Care Framework, supporting each child's intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Through meaningful play, exploration, and Montessori-inspired experiences, we nurture every child's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development while preparing them for a successful transition to school.
Our Junior Kindergarten program provides a nurturing and engaging environment where children build confidence, independence, and school readiness. Through Montessori-inspired learning and Alberta's Flight Framework, we encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Every child is encouraged to explore, lead, and grow at their own pace in a supportive and inspiring environment.
